On 2007 and newer Jeeps the electrical system uses Pulse Wave Modulation to power the DRL module. For halogen bulbs, this is not a problem as the small breaks in the current flow between pulses is faster than the filament “loses its glow”. However LEDs are an instant-on light source so any gap in the current will cause the light to go out, or in this case flicker. The high beams and low beams do not use PWM hence no flicker. There are a number of aftermarket pigtail capacitors available to solve this issue.
