If your vehicle’s harness has an H4 connector (see picture) then you can set aside the adapter harness and use the H4 connection on the lamp. If one of the terminals on your vehicle’s connector is at a 45° angle, you need to use the adapter harness to adapt the H4 connector to the 2E1 connector.
If your vehicle’s harness does not use a standard configuration, the male terminals can be removed from the adapter block with the aid of a small screwdriver to depress the small metal tabs holding them in the plastic housings. The male terminals can then be inserted into the appropriate position on your vehicle’s harness. Take care to prevent the terminals from shorting with each other or any other exposed metal by insulating them with electrical tape or heat shrink. Pay careful attention to the labels on the wires and ensure they are connected to the correct function on your vehicle. Turning on low beams in your vehicle should turn on only the top 3 optics of the lamp, while turning on the high beams should turn on the 4 smaller optics on the lamp, but not the larger circular optic.
