I need a box lamp, but mine has 4 wires

Grote's Answer

The 4th wire is just a Ground. If they need a wire coming from the lamp to their harness, they can just get a wire and crimp a ring terminal on one end, that is large enough to slip over one of the mounting studs, and that will provide a Ground wire for the lamp.
