What is the difference between class1 and 2 beacons? Do any beacons have an elevated beam component for use on uncontrolled airfields?

Airport requirements vary from region to region and state to state – check local authority for clarification of needs and requirements.
Class I – predominantly used in Emergency vehicles – vehicles that will travel faster than the speed of traffic – Police, Fire, Ambulance etc.
Class II – usually for vehicles in traffic that will be slower than the speed of traffic – Service vehicles, road maintenance vehicles, utility vehicles etc.
